I'm Writing my chemistry lab about how magnesium makes a chemical reaction when it is collocate in hydrochloric acid, which if it pops then hydrogen has been made.
I don't know what to put on my scientific knowledge help!! :(

Well you could try writing out a word equation.
A + B --> C + D
Then explain the test. Hydrogen is a -------, ------less and ------less gas. Therefore it is not easily detected, however it is highly -------. Therefore it pops when exposed to a naked flame in a small explosion.
If you fill in the gaps and write out the equation, then maybe explain the type of reaction I think you'll be pretty much sorted.
Post back if anything is unclear. :)
Remember in scientific writing it is more important to be concise and clear than to write a lot.
