I installed the above mentioned fan ( Model: GAL52BC4LKRC) and have not been able to get the bottom set of lights working. Without the transponder or the original remote for the unit I was able to get the top lights and the fan working on a universal remote but not the bottom lights. The unit has both blue and orange wires which even when combined to connect to the "light" wire on the remote, I cannot get it to work. The bottom set of lights are connected to the base by a cable. When the cable is not plugged in the fan will not work. Bulbs are new.

Any thoughts as to why the bottom section will not light up?

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I think you will get some answers if we move you over to electrical. There are several electricians and fan guys there.

Do you have the original receiver and remote for the fan? If not, why?

I do not have the originals. The fan was given to me by a friend and I did not take it down so I was not able to see what I should have been taking with it.

Thoughts on the previous question?

I would contact the manufacturer and obtain the necessary parts. Often times these things will not work even when they are wired correctly, there's little by way of explaining it.

Otherwise, trace the hot and neutral from the light fixture all the way to the ceiling canopy and determine what they pass through. You can also try applying current directly to the light wires in the switch housing.
