There actually is a way to score a " 3 " ( par )
On a hole in one !

Official rules state : a " 2 " stroke penalty
Is given to a player who uses the pin
To pull out his/her ball from the cup !
Thus making " PAR "

The reasoning behind this penalty is as follows,,

Because of the inch or so of topsoil
On top of the actual " cup "

This can be damaged by pulling the
Pin at an angle
Which in effect, puts pressure on the ball
By being " wedged " between the shaft of the pin
And the actual " CUP "
The damage occurs when the ball
Reaches the top of the cup
And damages that inch or so of earth
At the very top of the hole !

And as rare as a cop giving a driver
A ticket for backing out of his/her driveway
And, obviously, on to a public road,,

( because the rules/laws of the road )
State that : all private vehicles must
Proceed " IN FORWARDS "
On to all public roads !

I have never seen this " 2 " stroke penalty
Be given out to a player before!!

There's a first for everything

Can't wait to see that on the pga/lpga tour !

Lol !

That's a very strange rule, I wonder who will receive the penalty first
