We have been experiencing trouble with our Symmons Temptrol shower control. Over the past couple of months we have not been able to achieve hot water in the shower. We have hot water in all of the sink faucets. My husband and I disassemble the Temptrol today... we cleaned everything we could find to clean... we even soaked the T10 in vinegar as was suggested... to remove any possible sediment. None of our efforts seemed to make a difference. We then went and purchased a new T10 and installed that one... not much of a temperature difference... no steam... no hot water. Any suggestions?!
Thanks

When you removed the chrome plated stuff off shower valve, to replace the stem assembly, you should have been able to see a flat head screwdriver screw just to the upper left of the nut used to hold the stem assembly in place... loosen this... a good full turn (counterclockwise)... maybe more... hopefully that will increase hot water. It is a temperature limiting screw... that may be your issue.
Let me know what you find. Symmons® Quality Runs In Our Family (http://www.symmons.com) check this site out if you have any problems locating the flat screw... but should be obvious!!
