I have a GMNT 120-5, the vent motor is extremely noisy during operations and can be heard in the entire house. Any possibility to repair or should I just replace the motor?

After a recent service call the technicians switched the blower speed to a higher level which due to the high velocity now is very uncomfortable in the rooms, it feels like a hair blower being turned on. I looked into the user manual but did not find any hint where I can switch between the three (or four) speeds. Any insight would be appreciated.

Look on the furnace wiring diagram usually on the inside of the blower door for how to change speeds.

Replace vent motor. If new motor not available replace the entire vent fan plastic housing and motor as a assembly.

Replace the Goodman, they are crap. Mine is not working properly after three months and the guy I used, Park and Sons or Emergency Heating and Repair (same guy) in Omaha Nebraska will not answer my calls. The probem in Goodman won't use dealers, they sell their crap to anyone. Very unreliable and not worth the money you save initially, as you will lose money in the long run with repair bills. Get a better dealer and a better furnace up front and you will not have the worries us Goodman customers have.

The factory has a policy and they DO NOT sell to anyone.
The factory only sells to wholesale houses for the HVAC trade.
It is the wholesale house or the dealer that is selling to anyone.

Goodman is just as good as any other equipment if installed correctly.
The problem is many units are not installed correctly because Joe homeowner bought on off Ebay and installed it himself causing all the problems.

I have the same problem, the dip switches need to be adjusted, all units are shipped set on high speed for max AC output.
