Is the bible accurate? If its not then why the big fuss about it? If it is why don't more people believe and push for it?

This is going to be a huge debate.

I don't think the bible is accurate as I don't believe in any organized religion or god himself...

I believe more in evolution than god creationism...

... I think you have started a long-lasting thread though!

If you want to conform it is... Have your own opinions...

O.P.---Read the bible, go to a few different types of churches, find what you agree with and what is right for you... No one can tell you what you shouldn't believe..

I actually believe the bible is true I just wanted see what other people thought and where they stood as far as its accuracy

ChihuahuaMomma

how come the earth is corrupt then
Because no one is perfect, not even religious people...

So then is evolution true without the suffient evidence

Wondergirl

Read the Bible and find out why. Even more fun, once you finish reading the Bible, go to your local public library and head for the 200s (religion). You'll find books like When bad things hppen to good people and others that try to explain corruptness.

I believe in Evolution... I was brought up as a Baptist, was a practicing Catholic for ten years, and now know my own truth.

Like I said I do believe the bible and have read it and still continue to read because there is always something you can learn or need for life

The Bible is NOT a science textbook. The Bible's purpose is not to explain evolution or the Big Bang or cloning or other scientific subjects.

So if you believe why ask if its accurate?

Why evo where? Why not creation where?

(You might want to express yourself a little more clearly and write more than just a few words.)

I think he was asking me why do I believe in evolution instead of creation? In answer to that, I have researched both sides and was a pratciing christian for a very long time, and I honestly just don't believe it.

If that's not what you were asking, I apologize. And forming complete sentences isn't a bad idea.

So you don't believe God might have put evolution into being to create?

I think that when God said let there be light there was light. The same thing for creating life God spoke it it and it happened. To Chihuahua mama there is more proof pointing to a creator then evolution-from my own research-even though evolution is taught in schools doesn't mean its right. For example the guy who hoaxed the human fetuses to look like some type of evolutionary process, was proven wrong more than a century ago, yet it is still being taught.

If you do more research in one area than the other of course you'll find more proof in that area.

If you believe in the bible and believe that it is accurate, then why did you post this?

To your first statement, I have done research in both evolutionary theories and creationist theories and even from a scientific point of view I really can't see a good valid argument or reason for evolution. To your second question, I wanted to see what people thought about both sides and how they prove their evidences. Basically I was doing a poll you could say.

tbasically i was doing a poll you could say.

That would have helped had I known.

I believe God created everything, but I don't know exactly how, nor does it matter. He put mankind in charge of the earth, and we are doing a lousy job taking care of it.

I believe ( and I use this term STRONGLY) that the bible is a guideline more than a religion. I personally don't believe in any kind of god, which doesn't haze my ability to give advice about the subject.

A bigger question to answer would be about god. We all have these questions, and I've found the answere of not worrying about it. Carrying these stresses day to day can kill you.

If a safety measure needs to be taken, then go to church every Sunday, but you shouldn't have to worry about what everyone believes in. I think religion should be taken into ones own hands, for example, being in church makes you as much of a christian as being in a garage makes you a car. If you can carry belief and be happy, then by all means do it.

Just do what's right for you, but to worry about the truth of it all is bigger than anyone.
