Iwant to know what steps can be taken against people who spread infromationabout others via text messaging. I am being harassed by this method by a network of people it seems. The is information about some medical tests I had performed being spread to other people that no one would know except some one who was in the doctors office.People seem to know minor or major info. I have been harassed before by a lady I got into an argument with several years ago which might be the start but , I am in different places and this info gets out. Can you call this cyber harassment or what?:mad:

First thing you need to do is change your number or block the number that are sending those text.
The person that was in this doctors office was he/she there with you. If this person was with you there is no legal action you take against the person for telling your business. Having the person come alone says that you trust that person If the information is true then its not slander... I'm no lawyer but it is a type of harassment but the type police don't touch.
Change your number and if still get harassed contact the authorities.
