I have full coverage insurance,I recently got into a car accident,my car was towed from the accident, now my insurance company is giving me a bill of 1,650 the insurance company said I have to pay that amount for the towing fees, and I'm not able to get my car fixed until I pay this and this is not including the repairs,is this right for them to do this?

Is this right for the insurance company to do?

Do you have towing under the coverage for your policy?
If you do have towing, is there some limit, ( I have never heard of 1650 for towing) did you have it towed a long distance, normally they will only pay for it to be taken a limited distance.
I know that I have towing added to my policy, because as standard it was not included.

You need to look at exactly what your policy says and covers. If it doesn't cover towing, you will have to pay something. $1650 though is ridiculous and an absolute price gauge. You can send a car across the country for less than that. Sit down, breath and get all the facts in front of you. Come back if you get stuck!

With some policies full coverage does not mean blank check. Why was the towing bill so large to begin with? Did this include storage as well at their facility?

Having towing coverage on the policy is not the issue. If the tow was a direct result of the accident, it should be covered under the collision portion of the policy. Perhaps the insurance company is disputing the charges, i.e. is it just for towing, does it include storage, is it for more than 1 tow?

Some policies cover towing fees while others don't. Either way, $1,650 for towing sounds quite excessive! And why would your insurance company be billing you for towing? That bill should be coming from the towing company, not your insurance. Insurance companies pay claims, they don't send out bills on behalf of towing companies and body shops. Are you sure you're thoroughly understanding what's going on?
