Could someone please help me fix my squeaky dryer. The dryer squeaks with every load of clothes, but as each load gets lighter from the drying, the squeak gets less and less. My dryer is a GE Profile Model no. DPSQ495ET5AA. The Serial no. is FS750375A. Please if you how to fix the problem and what parts to get and where to get them I would really appreciate it.
Thank You Have a Blessed Day

The dryer has a drum that turns -- and spins the clothes. There is a shaft on the back
Of the drum that rides in a bearing -- the front rim of the drum rides on a wear strip --
Usually has a piece of plastic it glides on. The rear bearing kit needs to be replaced
( REAR DRUM BEARING KIT $45 ) and the wear strip probably needs replaced.
What this means is the dryer needs to be tore apart and the drum removed to replace
The rear bearing -- plus the wear strip probably needs replaced -- this takes time as
It is glued in place and needs to be clamped in place and allowed to dry... Then comes
The hard part -- reassembling the dryer -- putting the drum back in is not that hard --
But getting the drive belt back on can be a bear -- tight spot and trying to put tensioner
In place is no picnic... Probably comes apart easier than it goes back together...
Most appliance stores have parts or can get them -- give them name and model
GE Profile Model DPSQ495ET5AA
REAR DRUM BEARING KIT $45 784658 --- Also need wear strip

Thank you so much for the information. I really appreciate it. Should we fix it ourselves or would it be better to have a repairman?

I would suggest a repairman -- if it is older model maybe think about buying new
Rather than put money in an older dryer
