I have a Hampton Bay Ceiling fan I'm trying to remove from the ceiling.
I have removed the lights and exposed the basket with the pull chain switches, I have disconnected all of it. Their was a 7/8th nut holding it underneath in the center. I removed that and every other nut and screw in site. I even went up in the attic. I can't get it off the ceiling. There is a funnel like cup between the unit and the ceiling but it's a solid ring and flush between the unit and the ceiling. There are a few small screws left I will need a very small screw driver for that seem to be holding the housing on for the fan motor, they are on top and near impossible to get to because it's only 4-5 inches off the ceiling.

I don`t know how much you know electricity, but looks like there is one metal box wich is part of your house electric system & you are no supposed to remove it.
This box has 2 screws & there is the fan holded.

There is porbably a decorative ring on the ceiling canopy, right against the ceiling. It twists off and the screws are beneath.
