I know they are good for you but I don't know speficically what they contain that makes them good for you other than the Omega oils. My late husband would eat tin after tin of them. My son will eat tin after tin of them. Friends of his eat tin after tin and want more. You need to experiment around and see what kind of sardines you like - there are ones packed in oil, packed in water, packed in mustard, packed in hot sauce, etc. I personally have NEVER eaten a sardine despite the fact I've bought hundreds of tins in my time. A true, real fish lover enjoys them immensely.

These are really a great fish, Rich in natural fatty acides, Omega 3, also B- 3, 12, tryptophan, selenium, vit D, protein, phosphorus, calcium. When I want so sort of junk type food, I choose Pizza, with veggies and add the sardines, sounds weid to a lot of people but it's great.

They are and EXCELLENT source of protein and good fatty acids. My only concern about the quantity consumption is the high sodium content. High sodium will increase your blood pressure in no time...
... I would personally add them into a balanced diet, but consume them in moderation like everything else.
