How do you know the difference between implantation bleeding and period bleeding. Due to my irregular cycle, I can range between 28 and 34 day cycle, there for my projected period date would have been between the 19th and 25th of jan. it is know the 31st and I have noticed that I have started spotting could this be from implantaion or would I just be late 6 to 12 days late? If some would please let me know what they think as my mum has no interest in me or my future children so I don't have any one to ask. Please help I am so lost...

It could be either. Many women don't have implantation bleeding, but some do. I would suggest taking a home pregnancy test 7 days from the latest day you would normally start you period. It can take 7-10 days or even longer to show positive on a hpt. Hope this helps.

Thanking you Automansgirl I really appreciate the advise. If you don't mind me asking did it take you long to fall pregnant and if it did what kind of problems did you have cause I just seem to be having on lot of problems after another and a whole heap of disappointment and far too many doctors bills... was there anything you did that helped?

It took my husband and me about 6 months of actively trying to get pregnant. I finally got pregnant when I stopped trying. I had to have a surgical procedure and couldn't have sex for two weeks. I thought I had missed my window, so we finally relaxed and just enjoyed each other. Next thing you know I was pregnant! I had myself so stressed about getting pregnant I actually missed my period and had to take meds to start back up. Try relaxing and have sex every other day the entire month. I know they say to only have sex every other day around your ovulation time, but I ovulated at the end of my cycle that month. Just relax and enjoy trying!

Think of this... when was the last time you had sex? If it was about a week ago or a bit less it could be implantation, if not then it is probably just a late period. After the bleeding did you have morning sickness? Throwing up and diarrhea if so then it is pregnancy.

Thanks Automansgirl I will try to relax I am only 22 so I think I still have heaps of time..

But like I said I am sick and tired of the negative results all the time and after I asked the question last night I went home and BAM there was my monthleys waiting bugga's.. Anyway. Where your periods regular before your sugery? Mine aren't and I can range from a 28 day cycle to just recently 40 day cycle and anywhere between.

I was fairly regular. I started as a 25 day cycle, and was at a 29 day cycle by the time I got pregnant. I completely understand how horrible it feels to constantly get those negative results. That's why I promised myself that I wouldn't test at all unless I knew for sure that I was at least 7 days late. I didn't get that positive until 10 days late! Nerve wracking! Anyway, relaxing is absolutely the best thing you can do. If after 12 months of trying you haven't gotten pregnant then I would say go talk to your doctor. You are so young, though. You definitely have time. Enjoy life as it is, don't try so hard, and when you do fall pregnant... then look forward to that new part of life. I know just how difficult it is to relax at all about getting pregnant, but I promise you will emotionally feel so much better when you can. Good luck and keep us posted how things go. Don't hesitate to ask more questions. We'll give you all the advice we can!
