Can Anybody tell me if the Print Server " NetComm NP3680 " is compatible with MFP Epson Stylus CX3900. It does not show on the NetComm compatible List, so I wrote to them but no answer yet.

If the Print Server and the Printer are both supporting the same connection type then there should be no problems. Example: USB 2.0 printer and USB 2.0 print server.

When you connect a printer server to the network, you are assigning it an IP address. When you add a printer port to your computer, you add a TCP/IP printing port that connects to the IP address of the print server. The drivers that you use will communicate with the printer through this port the same as if it was printing to a USB or parallel port.

The print server relays the print information from your drivers to the printer. The connection type is all that is different.

There are some printer drivers that do not support multi-user access but this is rare and the problems show up mainly when you are using Terminal Services or Citrix Metaframe (which I doubt that you are).

Look at the USB device servers on Keyspan | Products | USB Products (http://www.keyspan.com/products/homepage.2.productList.USB.spml). They can share serial devices such as cameras, USB disk drives and printers and fax machines etc. They are multiple device and multiple port.
