Can you run Hot H2O in PVC pipe.I ran my water lines and I seem to have gotten something crossed in the kitchen.Dont know how but Have hot H2O coming from PVC and cold coming from CPVC? I can't get to where it ties in at because it is at the eave end of the house.:confused:

SIlly question.. perhaps... but did you cross the flexible connectors from the pvc/cpvc lines to the faucet..

Another silly question, if this is a single lever faucet could the cartridge be 180 degrees out.

You should not be using any PVC for potable water, CPVC for all supply and PVBC for drains only.

If you replaced or removed your cartridge I think Harold has your solution.

It's not often I get to correct Ballengerb, he puts up such great answers but he's off on this one. ALL of our water service lines from the meter to the house are PVC. If the house is piped in plastic then PVC's acceptable for cold while the hot water's piped with CPVC. However, in practice most plumbers use CPVC through out. Sorry Bob! Tom

That's OK Tom, I was basing my answer on the building code we must follow in western Illinois. I guess we must be a bit too conservative in the boonies. We can only use OVC for dwv. Green can be used for sewers.
