Hi. I have never spotted before my period ever. I am 21 years old and have always played a sport until this year. I stopped working out for over 6 months and I recently have joined an aerobics class. I just got off my period about 2 weeks ago and I spotted like a week and a half after I got off. Could this be due to my body getting used to the physical activity? It just worries me because its never happened before! Could you please answer this for me? Thank you!:confused:

Sometimes you can have spotting after your periods. It is usually brown when that happens, since it is old blood. Exercise can sometimes contribute to this. A week and a half seems a little long, but I wouldn't worry too much yet. Was it lots of blood or just a little? Was it red or brown? Have you recently started taking birth control?

If it continues to happen or you have any other symptoms, make sure to see a doctor, just to be on the safe side.
