I suggest the use of a good template from which to build your own personalized letter. Microsoft Office provides free templates (http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/CT010147058.aspx) which are excellent examples.

Remember my two Golden Rules:

1. Less is more
2. Write a really good headline to draw them in
