Hi.. I was wondering if anyone has tried any of these lighting creams and if you did can you tell me if they worked for you. Also, if it did how long did it take. I just started using Fair & White AHA Lightening Cream a couple days ago but I was kindda iffy about it because it says it contains san-hydroquine but no hydroquine.

Hi not to freak anyone out but I just thought I should be honest I used some serum and a cream at first I didn't notice anything my skin just looked fresher then maybe a month into using it the skin starts to peel quite badly looks even raw and the skin takes on this horrible pinky obviously bleached skin tone I couldn't go out for weeks! After your skin has healed it left by either side of my cheeks dark patches that wasn't there before my skin was very good before now I'm wishing I just left well alone! I think my skin looks darker than before as well

Thanks Nikki. I have only used it for two days when I noticed my face became very flushed and hot. Half way through the second day I washed it off with water only knowing that it would probably carry on working! Two days later and I am still flushed, still warm. Bit better than yesterday but only marginally. Obviously I can't see any colour change! I reacted with it but I am hoping it won't get any worse!

Thank you Nikki for your feedback. I also have been using Fair and White for about 3-4 weeks now. At first I actually thought it was lighthening my skin but it just kind of made it a clearer more brighter pinkish complexion like you said. I would use the exfoialing soap and then apply their lightening cream which I may add would sting a bit when I put it on. That should have def. been an indicator that I should have stopped using it. But I kept on using it and now my skin looks very dry and kind of shinning all the time. It even seems to have darken some of my acne scars that were more apparent on my face. I would say that I never had a problem with my skin peeling from this product but this product is very harsh for your face and has done nothing for me but dryed my skin completely out and sometimes I would get irritations and rashes right after washing with the soap. Also don't recommend it.

Fair and white at all cost is best avoided unless you want uneven skin tone that wasn't there before or pink bleached out skin or peeling then I would say no!

I've tried the rare extracts and in fact I have my testimonial on the page. I'm the asian girl in the very bottom of the page. It worked wonders with just ONE bottle. Surprising, because I didn't do it twice a day as directed, but I saw great results. Try it! RareExtracts - From the Magic of Herbs. Strongest Skin Lightener Available (http://www.bodybleach.com)

I just got RareExtracts BodyBleach and I think it may be working as well. It appears to have lightened some dark spots. I am eager to see the results of the spots leaving completely.

Fair and White products are horrible. I too used it in past, no lightening effect, actually darkened my skin and dried it out.

Sans hydroquinone means no hydroquinone in another language. It doesn't contain hydroquinone. There are two different languages on the box. So don't worry about that

Wow...

I'm glad I came upon this thread..

Because I'm using the fair and white skin lightning cream for about two weeks from a friend of mine and it worked out for her but it hasn't done too much for me and I actually thought my area got darker as well... not that dark but... maybe it's the same I'm not sure

I'm glad I'm not alone though

I might stop using it..

Fair and white exclusive line its working wonders for me and always will. People tha don't see any lightening effect might be buying the fake ones. One more thing bodybleach is a scam the after pics on their website is the lightening of the flash from the camera they use to take the pics so don't be fool

f&w works for some, and others it has no effect, I haven't used it before but my sis has and she saw some difference, but if you want really good results try visiting your local african american hair store, oohh you'll find a lot of the products that come out of africa have a higher strength of HQ but they work pretty good.

I'm Black and darkskin.

I think that Fair and White works the best out of all the creams/gels that have been mentioned around here

First I bought Bio Clair and saw NO difference, I was getting back to my original dark color which I HATE. And it's kind of oily which darkens my complexion.

Then I was like forget it and bought some Fair and White (the orignal kind) out of desperation and within a week or so I was getting lighter again, with a nice glow. What I like so much about it is that even on the days when I don't use it, I wake up really light with a nice glow

other products that work well are
Rosance gel/soap X18
Fair and White Whitenzier gel/soap (the blue color)
Fair and White Original (the white color)

It works well for a lot of black people At the beauty supply I went to, the Asian lady said they had to lock it up because so many people were stealing it

I tried fair and white and it just burned my skin. So now I use UltraGlow its much better and Clarisime Body Milk ( Peach or red cap) works for me. I don't use it to lighten my skin because I'm naturally light skinned but I use bleach only to lighten my acne scars from before. I don't recommend bleaching because the creams are high in mercury which can kill you. Don't you understand that dark skin is beautiful? It really truly is! Please I'm begging you to learn to love yourself. I know why listen to the light skinned girl she has it good right? That may be true but really your all beautiful.

Ummm hmmm, listen dirty we all have to walk in our own shoes and live withourselves, I choose to bleach because it makes me happy. How can you contradict yourself by saying black is beautiful when you are bleaching for the very same reason us dark skin people are bleaching.

If you love black skin so much why don't you embrace the dark patches on your skin.

Hi everyone.just thought I should let everyone know from personal experiences that most of the time when anyone "bleaches" their face-your skin is going to peel at first.it happened to me I was using hyprogel soap along with a mixed cream I got from a jamaican girl and it worked wonders on my face.I started the color of india arie and went to ashanti's complexion in about 6 weeks.the only negative affect is that once you stop,u begin to fet dark again-currently I mix and use my own combination of creams that work very well by just giving me a clearer more even and brighter, healthy looking skin tone(I've sufferes from severe acne and its marks for about 4 yrs before using the products I use)

I agree with you Lighter... Im light skinned asian colour myself and I wish to lighten more to make MYSELF happy...

Dirty.. what you saying sounds really silly... because first you say I don't really want to lighten myself only clear my acne scars... Because your light skinned ANYWAY... that just means your happy with your colour...

So why the preaching about people should like their darker skins when they don't ? Just because you're a little lighter skinned than them ?

Everyone is doing this to make themselves happy and I think you should respect that !

I am interested in purchasing fair and white body bleach, but after these reviews I'm having second thoughts. Has anyone used Zarina fairtone cream? And did it work for you? I have been using bu-tone complexion cream on my face to clear some acne scars and that has been working really well, however my face is now several shades lighter than my body, and to be honest I prefer the new shade of my face to the colour of my body. The reason I say this is because when I was younger my whole body was fair, the colour of my face now to be exact and then I wet away on holiday and tanned A LOT. I never went back to my original colour :( so I'm bleaching in order to reach that. I used to use movate and that worked a treat, but was too harsh, so then I mixed with Elizabeth Arden's Visible Difference, and the combination is heavenly, honestly. The Elizabeth Arden VD brightens your complexion, while the movate (I only used like half a tube with a whole bottle of VD) gently tones your complexion. However, Elizabeth Arden is quite expensive and I can't seem to be able to get hold of movate nowadays. I bought palmer's skin success, but it seems to be quite slow. So if you could please impart your knowledge. :)

Deedsum007 have you decided to use the Zarina fairtone cream or the Fair and White? I never heard of the Zarina. And Fair and White, I hear so many mixed info about it that I'm not too sure.

U all are wrong. Before answering a question why don't u ask the type of fair and white product it is. The white bottle and packed once are for bleaching and is very harsh on the skin especially sensitive ones for that matter of fact the purple one I cannot tell because I never tried it but the pink one is the best it is gentle and works perfectly, at least for me, ma sisters and auntie making 6 of us and it is very nice thus the pink one but we are all different people with different types of skins and body sensitivity so our skins react differently with every product, so it is not a bad product it is v. nice based on who is using it. Ok so go get your skin tested or try it for a while if you realize it has negative effects then stop but if nt the you continue.
STAY BLESSED.

Fair and White is not that bad. The Whitenzier actually lives up to its claim, it really does lighten you quite well in 3 days.

The downside is that the product stops working after several months.

I checked the fair and white and saw two pink ones and would like to know the one you and your sisters have been using. One of them says "Fair and White CLEAR TONE Lait Eclaircissant Lightening Lotion " and the bottle is half pink and there's another range which the bottles are completely pink and it says "Fair and White SO WHITE Lait Hydra Perfector - Body Milk . Can you please tell me which one you use?thanks

I know, Body Bleach did nothing for me when I used it 2 years ago. And it does smell like ashes.

About the Fair & White, I had asked the question around the time when I first came to AMHD. I know the F&W Exclusive in the bluesh, like the whitenizer has had much success with many people, I haven't tried it yet but plan to in the future. I also heard positive things about the f&w Exclusive soap.

So, the one in the pink color is effective as well?

Hello,
I've tried Fair & White cream ONLY, nothing else, meaing no other bleaching products from F&W or any other bleaching company cream. I was referred to Fair & White by a Avon representative because I wanted to lighten my dark scars from my pimple. When I first used it, it made my skin feel rough, to remind you all I ONLY used it on the one area on my face which is the darken pimple area. And couple of days later I notice that area was getting darker, drier, and rough feeling. I IMMEDIATELY stop using the cream and went back to Crusader, which is a lightening cream not a bleaching cream. That's when my spot started to get lighter but not completely. That same spot been on my face for about 9 months now. Good News! Finally the spot is clearing up after I start using Palmer Cream, which faded the dark areas. I feel so much better because I went through so much trying to get rid of it. NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE FAIR & WHITE products.

What are the main ingredients in Fair & White that make it work?
Is Fair & White one of those that say they are Swiss but really made in Africa like Crusader?

MsBless
Dec 5, 2009, 04:08 PM
No, I do not know the ingredients in F&W. Also, I do not know where they are manufactured. However, F&W is harsher to the skin while Crusader is not.

No, Crusader do not have any Mercury or Steroid. Please go to Banned Skin Bleaching / Skin Whitening products (http://www.whiterskin.com/banned.html) and see for yourself.

Yes, Crusader indeed is adulterated with mercury (Mercuric Iodide, 0.76% is alot).

"They included soap bars with the Crusader brand mark, which were found to contain Mercuric Iodide and had packaging bearing the word 'poison'

Listed on this page is the Crusader Medical Soap and Crusader Skin Toning Cream, along w/ several other brands. I noticed the Dudu-Osun Black Soap was also listed.

" 'Crusader Safety Soap' and Roberts Medicated Soap' are generally used by the black community as they lighten the user's skin colour. But both. Soaps have substantial traces of mercury in them, which can cause brain damage and skin cancer."

Yes, complete waste. Unfortunately, that was my first skin lightener I used and it was horrible. It was too runny, looked like muddy water, smelled bad, eventually began to make my skin burn, and it didn't lighten me any. It even looked like someone mixed it in their bathroom sink, I don't know how they are still around? After I used it, I was discouraged to try and lighten, not until a year later.
