My computer's motherboard crashed and I put the hard drive into another computer and it is now telling me I need a Windows registration number. It is not the letter and numbers, it said it will only take numbers. Can someone tell me where and what it means and where I can get that number?

Sounds like it needs to be reactiviated because the hardware changed. Call Microsoft for a new activation code.
