VECTORS

A vector is something which has magnitude and direction.

For example, Speed is a scalar because it is just a number without direction.

Velocity is always in a certain direction, so it is a vector.

At an abstract level, a Vector is an ordered sequence of numbers.

For example: (4, 5, 7) is a vector, as is (5, 9, 8 1, 2).

1. A quantity, such as velocity, completely specified by a magnitude and a direction.
2. A one-dimensional array.
3. An element of a vector space.
