I've dated a 43 year old guy for the past 6 months. I am 40. We both decided that we wanted to be intimate with each other and made plans for him to stay the night with me. The chemistry between us is so intense! He drove over to my side of town and we cuddled, talked, and laughed. Then all of a sudden he announces that he cannot stay the night, so we DID NOT sleep together. I was completely caught off guard. I asked him why he was leaving. He said that he would explain later, but that I should know that it wasn't because he wasn't attacted to me and that it was not about another woman. Weeks pass and we talk about it. His response was: "If I did not care, I could have slept with you and left." What exactly does this mean. He did not elaborate at all! Is this some noble answer or just some bull that he is trying to pull. What is going on here! Any suggestions as to what may have happened? This is a man who I worked with for 2 years and did not know until 7 months ago (via a mutual friend/co-worker) that he had been admiring and wanting to be with me for the entire 2 years. So, now we get together and this happens!

He felt the timing wasn't right and felt uneasy in the situation

I think you wanted sex, but he may want more. He has been admiring you for a while you said.

Most guys just bang and leave as they say. I use to be like that. It takes a lot for a guy to want love making and not just sex

There is nothing to be upset about he will come to you when he is ready :)

He could be nervous as well if you liked you for 2years and now the moments finally here he probable does not want to mess up or something

So many thoughts go threw a guys head its hard to get the right one.

He will come round give him time :)
