View Full Version : Are there racist Democrats outside of the South?

Quoted from "my way", "Obama Routs Clinton in South Carolina, comes the following: Clinton campaign strategists denied any intentional effort to stir the racial debate. But they said they believe the fallout has had the effect of branding Obama as "the black candidate," a tag that could hurt him outside the South.

So Billary is going into the first 'national' primary appealing to Democrat racists outside the South? One would think the establishment Dems would have more courtesy and common sense that to expose this secret.

Hello George:

Couple things.

Hillary isn't courteous. What would possibly make you think that? But, you can't accuse the Clintons of not having common sense. THAT they've got plenty of.

They know the only way to win is to play the racist card, and that's what they're doing. IF there's racist Democrats, Hillary is going to try to appeal to them. Contrary to NK, I think they're everywhere. But, I'm a cynic.

I think a big part of the issue is, race and other factors aside, Hillary Clinton is far too liberal for the comfort of most voters, especially conservative ones (a la George McGovern in 1972.) South Carolina is one of the most conservative states, if not the most conservative state in the union. That said, it's hard to imagine any democrat winning South Carolina's electoral votes, let alone Hillary Clinton. Now as the primary election is within party lines, it was a given that Obama would indeed rout Clinton among South Carolina's democrat voters.

exconBut I think playing the race card will hurt rather than help Hillary. There are large percentage of black voters in various urban areas throughout the larger states which essentially control the outcomes in those states. For example, Chicago, IL. Detroit, MI. New York, NY, Los Angeles and San Francisco, CA, Boston, MA. These have been traditional democrat strongholds and any democrat candidate needs the votes from these areas or else (s)he is doomed. And pissing off black and other minority voters in these areas won't cut it.

This nonsense is all over the news and net: “branding Obama as "the black candidate,"”-hell a blind man already knows he's Black…he is the Black Candidate no matter what anyone say's. Certainly he going to loose some prejudice voters, but every candidate in history has lost some votes because of a prejudice. He is going to lose because he would make a poor President.

He is going to lose because he would make a poor President. But I don't think he'd make as poor a President as Hillary would.

Are there racist Democrats outside of the South

Yeah ;they moved from Arkansas to Chappaqua NY .Bill Clinton bestowed the Presidential Medal of Freedom on his "mentor " William J Fulbright ; a rabid segregationist .

Former KKK grand poobah recruiter Robert Byrd from West Virginia has been in the Senate since incredibly 1959 .

Here is what Sen. Dodd from Conn.said about Sen.Byrd :

"I do not think it is an exaggeration at all to say to my friend from West Virginia that he would have been a great senator at any moment. . . . He would have been right during the great conflict of civil war in this nation."

How about Howard Dean ? He campaigned in the South and said that universal health care was not (and I quote ) 'some crackpot socialist idea from some liberal state up in the North' He also used other code like "I want more than anything to bring South Carolina back into its proud tradition of voting Democrat year after year after year."

Let's move on to Joe Biden from Delaware .Here are some choice quotes :

You cannot go into a Dunkin' Donuts or a 7-Eleven unless you have a slight Indian accent."

"My state was a slave state. My state is a border state. My state has the eighth largest black population in the country. My state is anything [but] a Northeastern liberal state."

"I mean, you got the first mainstream African American [Barack Obama] who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice looking guy."

"There's less than 1% of the population of Iowa that is African American. There is probably less than 4% or 5% that is, are minorities. What is it in Washington? So look, it goes back to what you start off with, what you're dealing with."

So the sexist racist democrats don't have much of a choice... choices between if you want a penis or not, and if it matters what color it is... What a political dilemma! That's what we need to consider in making voting decisions?? My high school government teacher predicted something about this over 20 years ago... When Geraldine Ferraro was running, the teacher predicted that we'd have a black man as president before a woman held the office. I'm anxious to find out if he was right!

He is the black candidate. Also, I have heard he is muslim, and he will not even put his hand over his heart while he is SUPPOSE to be saying the Pledge of Allegiance, or while the national anthem is being played. What would this person do to our nation? No doubt start muslim and terrossists camps.

With all the negatives floating around this political cesspool of a campaign from the Dems, we'll probably see the Replublicans float to the top...
