Hello,

I have a small house with an unfinished basement that I am looking to finish with a 3/4 Bath and a Kitchenette. I really want to do this myself but have a limited amount of plumbing experience (I can sweat copper, change fixtures, etc).

Since it is Galv from the junction to the house (1") and then a trunk and branch the rest of the way, I was planning to run 1" PEX to the house and on to a cold water manifold. Before I reach the manifold, I am planning on 3 3/4" Tees, one for each hose bibb and one for the hot water heater. Then 3/4" PEX out of the heater to the hot manifold. I will them run 1/2" lines direct to each fixture.

I am looking for some sort of confirmation that a.) I will still have water when I am done b.) this makes sense and c.) this is a good way to proceed. Any thought?

Thanks

Looks good to me. That's the way I would size it if it were my job. You should have plenty of volume to go around with no surprises when you shower if someone flushes the toilet. Good luck, Tom
