Does anyone have a list of states that even if you are not the biologocal father but you signed the birth certificate you still have to pay child support? I need to know what states support this clause. I hope Virginia is not one of them.

All states, once you commit fraud and sign the birth certificate as the father, you are legally the father. In some states, the real bio father can not even contest it.

You will have to try and file in court for a DNA test and be released from it, but remember you signed. But you are obligated to pay until a family court will hear you case ( if they will hear it) time for an attorney.

In most if not all states, signing the birth certificate is an acknowledgement of paternity and hence establishes legal paternity with all of the accompanying rights and responsibilities. If the biological facts are different then that should have been established before ever signing the birth certificate.

It depends on the laws of the particular state. Was the person who initially signed the birth certificate ever ordered to pay child support in the first place? I would think that, if there is no previous support order in place and there is definitive test evidence which establishes who is or is not the father and the biological father comes forth willingly, then the one who initially signed the birth certificate wouldn't have to pay child support.

Wow, you are screwed. Believe me. Personal experience with this one. I would think the only way out would be testing to prove you are not the father and were tricked but call an attorney they are not all after your money.
