I have a judgement that is almost 7 years old and it was for a repo and sold from a bank to a collection company and now this guy from that agency is trying to get me to pay and I want to but how do I know that this collection company actually has the loan now? I asked them for paperwork and they gave me something that anyone could type up, do they need to show me the original papers?

Ask them to provide you with written verification.

If they have a valid judgement, they are valid for 10 years, and they may do what ever is legal in your state. In many states that include garnishment of pay and attachment of bank accounts, But in some states they can't, The fact they are talking to you, instead of doing something may mean they don't have the judgement, or you live in one of those states that don't allow aggressive collection
