... what?
1. you have a boyfriend who's served some time... forgets to see his PO... but he's responsible.
... that's... not really responsible. no. sorry.
2. police came... something about folding a fake bullet... that was his brother... something about a tattoo gun and clothes...
... what?
3. you're pregnant.
Wow. I don't know what's going on with the fake bullet and the tattoo gun or whatnot... but as far as I know, not contacting the PO is a crime. As far as "how long he'll be in for," the judge or the PO should be able to tell him that.

Sounds as though you should contact the Public Defender's office ASAP. Parole violations are serious matters and where I live the judge does not have to grant bail, so the parolee can sit in jail for weeks before his hearing. Please contact the Public Defender and see if you can get this case on a 'fast track'; get this guy out and get him a job.

Contact the district (state) attorney in your county (or the county where your boy friend is in jail). You will need a telephone book. Once you find the state's attorney's office, ask when your boy friend's case will be presented to a judge; you are asking for the date and time of hearing. Also, ask the state's attorney for the name, address, and phone number for the local public defender. Go to the public defender's office and explain your boy friend's situation. Your boy friend has a right to an attorney.

He will be held on a probation violation until a hearing, this can be as early as one week, but can be as long as 2 or 3 months in some areas.
At that hearing they will decide if he needs to serve time in jail, or be released back on probation.
Sorry but this is his fault by not being responsible. A person does not just forget to go to a PO.

Not showing up at your PO is taken as an instant violation. There is no excuse for it. There sounds like there may be additional charges filed against him with the cop and the bullet thing you mentioned also, maybe not.
You'll just have to wait until his probation violation hearing and hope for the best.

Hello s:
Tattoo guns and fake bullets are NOT against the law, so they will NOT result in new charges.
If you want to know where he is, call the Probation Officer. If you want to know when he's going to have a hearing, call the Probation Officer. If you want to help him, call a lawyer or your public defender.

You can call the Clerk of Courts at the courthouse and give them the bf's name and they will tell you when the hearing is going to be and what courtroom, judge, etc. You are permitted to attend as it will be held in an open courtroom setting.
I am still wondering just why a cop would waste his time confiscating a tattoo gun and a fake bullet? Yes, I know they are not against the law, but why would the cop waste his time? To be a jerk? Don't know. Maybe it was not a fake bullet after all.

Hello again s:
I'm sure if you did a little research on the phone or in the phone book, you can find out which probation office to call. I'm equally certain that once you get the right office, you can track down HIS probation officer.
THAT would be the person you need to speak to.

All the information I get that I am for sure about is that him probation officer is from Pomona. So I should just Google Probation Officer in the Pomona Area? Does that sound correct to you?
