I've tried lots of diet pills. Of course non worked for me. Until I went to a doctor he gave me adipex and water pills . I tried it for about a month. At first I weighed 160 now I weigh 139. It really worked for me. I didn't workout or anything. These tiny pills really worked for me. I'm going to get more and this time I will exercise. He gave me a two month supply but when my sisters saw how fast it was working they just had to have some. So I was just wondering have anyone else tried and did they work?

Interesting. What are the side affects and do you need a prescription?

The first day I started I felt very mellow. It was a really good feeling. You also tinkle a lot on the first day. You may get a stomach ache beacuase your not hungry but you know you have to eat. I believe it just depend on you. I just had to remember to not pickup food when I'm not really hungry. Yes I had to get a prescription. You can just search it on the net to get side effect. It really did work for me.

Adipex, also known as phentermine is by prescription only. You also have to have a physical first as it will not be prescribed to you if you have high blood pressure.

Here is a great website that outlines it all including the side effects. I took it once, stayed awake for 2 days. I did pass the nursing exam though. LOL

As I said, I only took it once. One pill. So, I can't say it worked for me. I can't stand to be awake 20 hours a day. LOL

Now, there is one girl in my nursing class who took it and lost 80 pounds. However, she did as she was supposed to and combined it with healthy diet and exercise.

I'm wondering... the girl that lost 80 pounds, how much did she originally weigh?

Another question, do they have a requirement for how much overweight you must be to be able to get this pill, or maybe a BMI? I know that I'm about 30-40 pounds overweight... not sure exactly...

Actually according to this site Body Mass Index Chart (http://www.consumer.gov/weightloss/bmi.htm) , I'm OBESE. How can that be? Is there a more reliable site to check this on? I can see overweight, but OBESE?? No way!

I don't know how much she weighed originally, nor what she weighs now, but I have seen the weight drop off her. It is very obvious. She is proud to exclaim that she lost the 80 pounds though. Again, she did eat healthy, drink lots of water, and exercise faithfully. The girl she is carpooling with has been on it longer and has actually gained weight. So it takes some diligence on your part to lose the weight.

I will caution you to stay away from greasy foods if the doctor prescribes it for you. I do not, however, know the guidelines for prescription.

I'm already on a 1,200 calorie diet and workout daily... and nothing is showing yet. I need something like this to help me lose the weight. I was also kind of concerned about my throid, so the physical won't hurt...
