I was supposed to go to court this morning and the DA asked for an adjournment. I know what it means I was just wondering why they would ask for it, and how long can they keep asking for adjournments before they have to present to the Grand Jury? Can this go on indefinitely it is about a felony case. What is the general procedure?
Thank you

This could mean that something new in the case has come up or that one of the DA's has a conflict and must be in a different courtroom and cannot make it to your proceeding. Happens all the time. It cannot go on forever. Figure anywhere from a few days to a week tops.

It could be something or nothing, I had many of those in my case. The grand jury has nothing to do with u going to court. You can be arrested and charged with probable cause a crime was committed.
