OK Please give some advise.
I had a small leak with my TPR Valve only between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM. I replaced the TPR Valve on a Saturday and it did not leak Sat. or Sun. Back to work on Monday and low and behold Monday night between 7-8 PM I had a small leak (about 1 inch in a bucket) that stopped shortly there after and it has done so again tonight, Tues... Any suggestions.
I was given some advise that maybe it could be a faulty pressure gauge on the water main coming into the house.?

Do you have a check valve and/or expansion tank on your water line for whatever reason?

Do you have a sprinkler system?

No we do not - I do though have a Ceramic/Electric off/peak on peak system for highly efficient heating and electric bills. Lat night at 5:00 we heard the offpeak on peak system click to work it's magic and 5 minutes later I heard drip drip... Don't know if they are connected but it was coincidental that it started right after...

I don't know what you have but I do know what you need. You need a expansion tank installed on the cold water supply of your water heater. Whether you know it or not you describe a closed system. As the heater kicks on the water begins to heat and expand. Having no place to expand to it opens up the T & P valve and expands through that. Install a expansion tank and I bet your problem will go away. Good luck, Tom
