Hi all

I am in tucson with a L2 visa...
How can I apply for EAD... online or should I visit the centers for it
It will be of great help if anyone tells me the exact procedure...
And can I start looking for a job before obtaining EAD??

How long it will take to obtain ead..?

Hi, The USCIS site has the forms required for EAD application. You can even find a pdf on general instructions on filling the form. I think, if you are on an L2 you would need the form I-765. You can fill the form and send the following documents alongwith it
1. L2 visa holder I94 front n back
2. L1 visa holder I94 front n back
3. Copy of the VISA
4. Marriage certificate
5. a cheque of the EAD fees ( I think it is about $340)
6. A petition from the employer of the L1 visa holder
7. A photograph

EAD usually takes 90 days

Yeah, and you could send you application by post to the center closest to you. A list of the centers is given in the pdf document on the i765 form filling instructions.
