When I went through my Divorce a few years back I got stuck with a rather large credit card debt @$23,000 that was divided in half(mine and half hers) in Texas. But when I went to pay that half to the credit/collection agency they wanted 100% payment. Now 4 years later they have put a lien against my house. Help me not sure of the law, what my options are? Now the lien is up to $29,000.

In the Divorce agreement you were supposed to pay half and your ex the other half? And she didn't pay anything? Did you pay your half at all or have no payments been made?

If the divorce decree stated your ex had to pay half, you can sue her to get the half she was supposed to pay. Otherwise, you will have to satisfy the lien before you sell the house.

Any way out of the lien, Sueing her would be like squeezing blood from a turnip...

If the debt is valid and they obtained a judgement against you, then its unlikely you can get out of the lien. Depending on where you are, personal residences are often exempt from being used to satisfy unsecured debt. But, if they got the lien that probably isn't the case.
