My 3 1/2 yr old female Bichon seems to be having problems being able to potty(urinate). She is going from 12-18 hours between bathroom times. Was wondering what might be her problem? Could she have some stones blocking?

That is a long time. Is she straining? Any blood in the urine? The longer urine sits in the bladder the more likely it is to develop an infection. Definitely take her in to the vet to make sure it is not a UTI or stones. Does she have opportunity to eliminate more often?

Shei s taken outside to potty every 3-4 hours and at bedtime is crated, but if needs to go out lets me know and is taken out. She does not strain and there is no blood in urine.. When taken outside my boy pottys every time, but she will just stand there till like I had stated it has been way too long. I am questioning the stones. Thanks for your answer and concern
