Sorry for your loss. I've heard of this before. If it upsets you to think of him, would you be able to just ask her politely to stop, tell her that's special time between her and Great Grandad. If it doesn't bother you to be reminded often by your child, and you are experiencing a growing concern regarding her claims, I wouldn't worry about it. If it's not upsetting to your child, or you, it's probably okay. Sometimes our kids love us so much they want us to feel better. Maybe in her mind, depending on how little she is, she is trying to help you by making you feel he is still here. Sorry again for your loss. I may be way off base here, but it is only a suggestion to try to help. Best wishes.

When we lose a loved one it is often hard, for myself, when my father passed I knew in my heart he went home, to a much better place that he had lived his entire life for. So I was happy for him, and sad for my loss.
But I know he lives with the Lord and also lives in my heart and memory.

Many things with the child, from actually seeing him, to knowing your feelings and loss and hopeing or trying to make you feel better, without knowing it.

Yes, I lost my father 3 weeks ago. I am finding out children are affected not only by their own loss, but seem to become consumed with the happiness of the parent. I hope both of you can find peace.

I lost my grandad 23 years ago, I still miss him, it still hurts. Don't worry about your little girl, if she is happy to still see her great grandad, good for her. I wish I could
