Is there a morning after pill for dogs. Can an abortion be performed on dogs?

There is a shot that can be given at the vet. Some vets refuse to do this as there are some risks to the dog...

Lots of risks from those shots, I'm not even sure they are still available. Some vets will spay a pregnant dog, obviously the earlier the better. This effecively performs an abortion and ensures no more unwanted litters in the future. I don't feel this is inhumane. Once the pups are born its hard to be sure they will all go to good homes for life. Call around, different vets have different views on this type of surgery.
