I would like to know if nerve damage is a side affect of oxycotin? I have numbness and tingleing in my right hand along with my thumb, index, and middle fingers. I also get numbness in my left foot mostly along with my toes on that foot. Please help, I have been told that the cause of this could be that I was on the medication for over 3 years.

Thank you,

Jersie

Hopefully a person educated in medicine will respond but until then, I would just like to say, "I hope you are off of this medication."

My brother was on this med, was going to sleep at the breakfast table and couldn't even hold his glass of milk. He ended up in the emergency room, could not breath. When the ER doctor found out what he had been taking he said he would never give that to a patient. He said it shuts down the respiratory system. It is a popular street drug.

My brother was actually treated for bronchitis since he had a cough also and horrible headache. I was there with him. He does not remember hardly anything of that whole day. I know there are horror stories associated with probably most all meds but we almost lost my brother. His feet are almost black and rather numb. He has back trouble, has had several surgeries so we can't say the Oxycotin caused that but he had numbness and tingling in his arms and fingers, again, could be surgeries and injuries he has had.

His doctor has tried three different times to get him to take a script to get Oxycotin even after his experience in the ER. My brother told him his wife and sister would have his head if he did.

Just this girls opinion but it is one scary drug. I know this has not answered your question from a doctor's knowledge but I could not in good conscience let this pass without responding and share my brother's experience on this medication.

I wish you wellness and good health! :)
