I have been using baking powder to whiten my teeth.
It doesn't seem to be doing the job.
I use baking powder because some years ago, I got the impression that the whitening agents in toothpaste was harmful.
I don't know if that is still the case.
I want something to whiten my teeth (that is not considered harmful).
Any suggestions will help.
Thanks in advance.

Try Kiss My face Whitening Toothpaste made in Italy. It contains no fluoride or sodium lauryl sulfate. I get it at the health food store for about $6 a tube. Tube lasts forever and whitens my teeth great. Good stuff, used it for years now. They have a web site but never went on it. Kissmyface.com

This might sound crazy, but I have heard of people using strawberries to whiten their teeth... I did a quick Google search for it and found this:
Whiten Your Teeth the Natural Way - Health.com (http://www.health.com/health/article/0,23414,1136070,00.html)
Its worth a try! If it doesn't work, you can at least eat what's left over!

Baking powder does exactly the same thing as whitening agents in toothpaste. They wear away the outer coating on your teeth to reveal the whiter under-layer. If you want to whiten your teeth without wearing them down, you could try a whitening gel. I don't know how effective they are, but it could be worth a shot.
Also, do your teeth really need whitening? Baby teeth are naturally white, but adult teeth aren't. They could be a perfectly natural colour.
