I am about 7 weeks pregnant with my second child. My first is a boy. This pregnancy seems to be going just like the first one... tired and a little irritable, but other than that no complaints. Since this pregnancy seems just like the first does that mean I am probably havng another boy... or not necessarily? P.S. I have heard that nausea tends to be more common with girls..

Short of the sonagram there isn't any way to tell.
My first was a girl and high up in my right rib
Second was a girl swore she was a he because she was resting on my left hip
The ring on a string pendulum is about as accurate maybe more!

So just because this prenancy is going the same way you don't feel that means it is the same sex?? Thanks for your response!

As N0Help4u said, there is no way to tell short of the 20 week ultrasound. The morning sickness, etc, is caused by the hCG hormone, not by the sex of the baby.
I had 4 pregnancies... all EXACTLY the same... 2 boys, then a girl... then another boy.
Again, aside from an ultrasound there is no way to tell.

As was said, there are several old wives tales that get used for determining gender. Probably the most common ones being baby's heartrate and how you carry. Obviously they have a 50/50 chance of being correct. Sometimes it will seem as if they work, other times... not at all.
My own experience... carried them all low and out front, no morning sickness with any of them, and all moved around quite a bit. I have 2 boys and 2 girls. Chinese calendar was 50% correct for me.
