This is either legit or a very well done hoax, http://www.diamondpetrecall.com/

Ran this through both Hoaxbusters and Urban Legends. Neither confirmed or denied it. It seems to me I have seen some good comments on Diamond. One advantage of Pro Plan, I am sure a recall would be big news.

Luckily I use nothing but Pro Plan for both the cat and the dog. Thanks for the link, though... scary if it's true!

It appears to be real, here are two links to the FDA and to CBS news that are reporting on the incident.

Hi,
The Diamond Dog Food Company, in South Carolina, has been all over the National TV Network news in the United States.
They now have approximately 30 dead dogs in the United States, from eating different dog foods produced by this company. The corn used was infected with Toxins, causing permanent liver damage; in some cases, with a dog just eating one meal of it.
One site offering information about dog food names, is:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10771943/

They list the following brand names:

Diamond Premium Adult Dog Food

Diamond Maintenance Dog Food
Diamond Professional for Adult Dogs
Diamond Performance Dog Food
Diamond Puppy Food
Diamond Low Fat Dog Food
Diamond Maintenance Cat Food
Diamond Professional Cat Food

OMG that is very scary! I feel bad for all the pups and their owners! :( I think it's just in the US though, not Canada? Not that that makes any better...
