While working in my basement office, I hear small skittering and sometimes very loud skittering from the ceiling above... sounds like they are around the duct piping. How the heck did they get there? And how the heck do I get rid of them? I have used bait outside for the neighbor's migrating mice (they never take their trash to the curb, they just leave it out front by the porch!! ) Could they be coming from the neighboring townhouse? I have seen no evidence of entry points around my foundation.

Any realistic effective solutions would be excellent!! If I don't get rid of these things I think my wife will freak!! HELP

There are many ways to deal with mice -- trapping is one way but I think

The ultrasonic repellers may be best for you -- Riddex sells them on TV

Not sure what they cost but think they will do the job... they pack their bags

And move out

Roush Man - This will sound crazy but I have seen it work. Take and buy some moth balls and scatter them around the celling above, this is also a way to keep snakes from comeing into the house, My younger son and his family had some snakes get into their trailor, after we got them out the 3rd time he tried what I had been telling him . Get the moth balls put them under trailor about 6inches apart and the snakes won't cross, he has found out it works, no more snakes past 2 summers. Re do in early spring for each summer GOOD LUCK & GOD BLESS :::: F.B.E.
