I am facing a theft under 5000 charge on Monday I have 2 previous charges and was wondering what I would most likely get for a sentence. I can't afford a lawyor. For the first charge in 2002 I got a 500 fine and in 2005 I got 1 year probation. I am in Canada and the crown dose not indicate what they are asking for yet. I want to just plead guilty and get it over with, so I can move (to a new province).

Most likely probation and a fine again ( my guess)

3rd offense might be more serious. I don't know, depends what mood the judge is in I guess. You should just go to legal aid if you can't afford a lawyer, and yeah, stop stealing.

Did you ever think maybe you should get help my dear. Go before the judge and ask for help maybe he or she will feel bad and look at that as reaching out for help.
You could also tell them that you have depresstion it is very common for people who are depressed to steel. That is true. So you could say you need some help with that. The judge won't want to add to your problems if you are looking for help.

Ok well first of all, you need to get this problem of your under control. You may wan to get this court stuff over and done with but if you don't stop shopliffing you will soon be back in court and going threw all this again. I don't think the judge will take pitty on you, but you will most likley get probabtion again but possiblely 30 to 60 days in jail! But it is really up to the judge! I wish you all the luck but you need to stop shopliffting!
