I have received a plaintiffs interrogatories to defendant and I have no idea what to do with it. This lawyer is trying to say that I owe a credit card debt that his company purchased from the original creditor. This is from 1999 and I honestly do not recall it. What should I do? Any suggestions on how to fill out the plaintiffs interrogatories to defendant?

What kind of questions are asked for starters.

"Did you have a charge accont with..." "The account number..." Almost like things that would be asked in court. It also says I need to answer them under oath, where do I do that at?

You can answer the questions as truthfully as you wish to. If you do not know the answer then put just that... that you do not know and that you have no knowledge.

The business of under oath means that you need to have your answers notarized. Just your signature gets notarized, nor the actual answers. Sign the paper before a notary after you have finished filling it out. Make a copy of what you answered also and mail the paper back to the other attorney's office.
