Does anyone have a clue as to which film this was:

I watched it when I was about 10... 26 years ago.
It was on TV, and it was a black and white film.

The things that I remember was a young girl prob about 8 who was deaf, and some people wanted her too get put in ahome, because she couldn't speak.
A lady in the film helped this girl to talk small words, from talking into a balloon that was held next to the deaf girl, so she could feel the vibrations.

Anyone? God it made me cry, it was so moving and I would love to be able find out what it was called and to see it again hopefully.

Cheers for reading

"The Miracle Worker", this movie was based on the true life of Helen Keller, a girl that lived in either Tuscumbia, or Sheffield Alabama. I can't really remember which town, but there is a museum there at Helen's home. The town was located East of Muscle Shoals, AL. Also, there is a country music museum close by. Go on the internet and search for, Helen Keller Museum. I was there many, many years ago, sorry I don't recall more info about it though.
