I am looking for tax experts locally that will network with me for Financial Planning. Obviously I'm looking for those either not licensed, or optimally those with a life insurance license for commission sharing. Can anyone tell me a better way to find those that would enjoy such an affiliation? I have used door hangers and cold letters prospecting tax experts with only a touch of success, but used to manage Series 7 CPA's and EA's over a 4-state territory, so know this is a huge market potential which can be mutually beneficial. Any ideas?
Thanks, Ed

Boy, I sure wish I could Atlanta! I network between my current clients for taxes, and the tax expert's clients for Financial Planning. When mutual introductions run smoothly, the potential is enormous! Allstate has done this with limited success, for years. (it's hard to switch from order taking <auto and home insurance> to sales) In some ways though, the situation is similar. It's difficult to get tax experts to think of "cross-sales" at times. Therefore, it's difficult to find tax experts to work with Financial Planners. I was looking for some tips to find favorable affiliations locally - in Tucson, AZ. Thanks so much for the interest though.

So I take it you are NOT licensed in Georgia?

If so, I understand.

No - sorry. These days with so much accomplished over the telephone, email, fax, etc. it surely may not be a bad idea!
Thanks, Ed
