My husband just got put on probation. We had made plans to move from Florida to birmingham, Al. My si-in-law is having twins and really needs my help. My husband wanted to find a better job so he could support our family without havibng to work the 2 jobs he is working now. His probation officer told him he couldn't move out of Florida unless it was to move near immediate family. I have been looking it up and it seems as though he would be able to move if he had a job lined up and the state of Alabama would let him transfer, so what should I do?

I think you're right. Go get him a job, and make your application for transfer. I think you can handle it.

By the way, I wrote a thing called transfer of probation. You can read it at the top of the criminal law page on a "sticky note". You're already half way there.
