I have upgraded to nero 7 but when i try to burn a cd the disc ejects and the run aborted.previous nero prg which came with the pc worked ok.the disc is also ejected when i try and write to it using my windows xp software.i can read from my drive so it seems to be working ok.
Also how can i tell if i should be able to burn dvds.
The question seems to be how can i check that my cd drive is working ok and what remedies are there?

Unless the drive is a DVD burner you can't burn DVDs. Did you check to make sure Nero 7 supports your drive?

Thanks For Your Reply Scott.
1.I Have No Paperwork About My Pc So I Am Not Sure Whether My Drive Is Also A Dvd Burner.

2.how Can I Prove Whether Nero 7 Is Compatible With
My Machine?

Thanks Again For Your Help

Unless it Says DVD and RW on it its not a DVD burner.

Check Nero's website for a list of supported drives.

You can also check the drive's capabilities by going to:
RIGHT-CLICK on MY COMPUTER > select MANAGE > follow to DEVICE MANAGER... (if you use windows that is)
