I have a 40W fluorescent light that I intend to hang over head and plug into an outlet that is not hooked to a wall switch. This fixture is a 2 light fixture.
I purchased a pull chain switch but I am confused about where to splice in the 2 black wires on the switch.
The instructions reference wiring one into the black supply which is easy enough, however the other wire is supposed to go on the white on the "load" side and not the supply side.
My issue is there are 2 white wires coming out of the ballast and going to one end of the light and 2 blue/green and 2 red out of the other side of the ballast.
How do I get it hooked correctly to the white wire? Do I just install the other switch wire to either 1 of the whites?
Thanks in advance.

DO NOT CONNECT TO ANY WHITES,
Find the hot wire that goes to ballast(black), disconnect, then connect switch to these 2 wires you just disconnected.

To keep me from getting confused let me explain how the supply wires are hooked to the ballast. 1 supply wire is spliced to the Black wire to the Ballast and 1 supply wire is spliced to the white wire going to the ballast.
Are you advising that I should unhook the supply to (ballast)black wire completley and then hook 1 swicth wire to the supply and one to the black ballast wire?
Thanks again.
