I have a Day and Night up flow furnace, about 13 years old. Can the blower motor speed be adjusted to a slower speed ? There is only 8 feet of duct and the noise coming out of the registers is very loud.

Model # 395CAV036055
66,000 BTU
Blower # 511, 1/3 hp

If no one has any info, does anyone have an email for Day and Night headquarters.

Thanks,
David

Yes it can be changed. Follow the wiring diagram as provided on the inner door of the unit. It will show what colors correspond to what speed. Caution!! Furnaces are designed for so many CFM across the heat exchanger. Usually tools/meters are used to make sure the CFM does not drop down below a acceptable level as stated in the manufactures instructions. If you do not feel comfortable doing the speed change after reading the above information I would check with a pro to make sure your system will not be harmed.
