I moved in to this townhome on December 15, 2007 and shortly after the pipes in one of the bathrooms started leaking and soaked through the ceiling in the living room. There is also mold in the 1/2 bath downstairs. I told my landlord that I have asthma and it gets affected by this. My ex has since cleaned out the account we had together and I told her that I would have to move. She sent me two emails one that she will work things out with me and another that she is going to evict me and put a sign on my door. I told her that I could pay the 790.32 on the 18th but she wants it on the 14th and the eviction notice says I have until the 15th. She said she wants me moved on the 12th which I will be but will have the sheriffs serve me after the 15th but I will not be residing at the rental anymore. I told her I want to pay the money but I am not sure what to do at this point. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Monique:(

The sooner you leave that place the better off you will be as your asthma will get much worse and you are going to be one sick cookie with all the mold spores happily lodging in your lungs. Your health is not worth staying in that place one second longer. I would not pay that woman a dime as that place is unfit to live in whether you had asthma or not. Leave as soon as possible and tell her if she doesn't stop bothering you you are going to sue her for knowingly renting you a health hazard and your asthma has gotten worse since you lived there. She'll back off in a heartbeat, trust me. After you move clean all of your clothes and furniture very carefully so you aren't taking the mildew and mold spores with you to your new dwelling. Very important.
