Yikes! I just got this review sheet for a final in algebra for 9th grade here is the promblem:
SOLVE FOR X.
nx-m=p

Can somebody talk me through on how to do this and the answer would be terrific.

when trying to get x by itself you need to first add m to p
nx=p+m

and then

divide by n so

x= (p+m)/n

x= (p+m)/n *times* n
x=(p+m)
x=pm / pm <-- 1
than X stays alone.
