I have replaced both studer vents in my home (2 years old) and the sewage smell is awful! I'm on the city's sewage system and the lines are clear... What can I do with these studer vents to stop the ordor? THX

If you are getting sewer gas backing up through a Studor vent (AAV) the vent has failed and needs replacement. Do not try to repair them, replacements are fairly inexpensive. Do you not have a vent stack at all for your home?

There are no vent stacks at where the studer vents are located (kitchen sink and master BR). I have replaced the initial studer vents once (after 1 year of service) but the ordor is back strong as ever... Do Studer vents go bad on a yearly basis? THX

You likely have a main stack somewhere for your toilets. Is this smell coming from the kitchen sink or where? AAV should not go bad that quickly, they are basically a mechanical valev with a weak spring and rubber flapper. How did you connect the AAV to your pipe and what is the pipe made from?

The Studer vents are attached vertically about 5" back from the "P" trap... The pipes are made from PVC... I'm not sure if the toilet in the MBR has a vent stack...

OK, PVC, did you glue them on or are they just friction fit? Still did not say where they are located, what room or drain are they on?

One is in the Master Bathroom and one is under the kitchen sink. It appears that the master bedroom drain is only for the sinks (vanity) and doesn't have a vent stack. Does this help? THX
