I never heard anything like that.
When you are pregnant you need more folic acid though

How do I use a home pregnancy test? (http://www.drugstore.com/qxa1798_333181_sespider-how_do_i_use_a_home_pregnancy_test.htm)

No, the folic acid did not affect it. You are most likely pregnant. Every woman of child bearing years should take folic acid daily to prevent neural tube defects should a woman become pregnant and not know it.

It is refreshing to see that you are taking folic acid and VB prior to becoming pregnant. Good for you!! Now, make a doctor's appointment Monday morning for a prenatal screening to include bloodwork. Looks like congrats are in order.
